Storybook Land in Disneyland is a place where guests can take a boat ride through miniatures of the locations from beloved tales like the dwarves' cottage from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves or Cinderella's castle. The three windmills from the 1937 The Old Mill just weren't resonating with guests anymore. So we replaced it with the beautiful town of Arendelle from the hit film Frozen. Each village house created by Michael Dobrzycki and Andrea Sorini were lit internally with surface mounted vapor tight fixtures and externally with partial burial landscape accents. To create the complex effect of Elsa's iconic ice castle I used 21 miniature LEDs underneath the castle and 6 more embedded in the rockwork surrounding it.
